How to get there

You can reach Leipziger Messe quickly and directly by all means - whether by car, train, bus, bike or plane. And in Leipzig, all roads lead to the trade fair.
 

Arriving by public transport

Leipzig offers an excellent public transportation network. Buses, streetcars, regional and suburban trains connect the airport, the exhibition grounds, the city center, hotels and sights quickly and conveniently.

Streetcar line 16 takes you directly to the exhibition grounds (terminus “Messegelände”). You can also reach the Leipzig exhibition grounds by regional train (RB) or suburban train (S). Use the “Leipzig Messe” station as a guide on your journey.

Information on local transport connections to the Leipzig Trade Fair Center can be obtained from the Deutsche Bahn timetable information service, the Central German Transport Association and Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe.

Arriving by bicycle

A cycle path leads from Leipzig city center directly to the exhibition grounds. Bicycle parking spaces are available at all visitor entrances and at the business entrance to the Congress Center Leipzig.

There is also a charging station for e-bike batteries in front of the administration building with lockable compartments for charging batteries and bicycle accessories. The compartments include a 230-volt socket for connecting the charger.

Arrival by car

Leipziger Messe can be reached directly via the A9, A14 and A38 highways. You will find signs on the highways indicating the exit to Leipziger Messe. In addition, it will only take you about 20 minutes from the exhibition grounds to Leipzig city center on the Bundesstraße 2. Around 800 cabs offer their services for a quick connection between the airport, the main railway station, the city center and the exhibition grounds.

Arriving by long-distance train

There are hourly connections from Leipzig to all major cities in Germany. At Leipzig Central Station and at the City Tunnel stations of the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland, travelers can change to the S-Bahn in the direction of the trade fair.

Arrival by long-distance bus

Arriving by plane

Leipzig/Halle Airport is located in the heart of central Germany and can be reached quickly from Leipziger Messe: In about 10 to 15 minutes via the highway and eight minutes by S-Bahn S 5, which runs every half hour.

Other travel options include Berlin BER Airport and Dresden Airport. From Berlin Central Station, the ICE train travels directly to Leipzig in 1 hour and 15 minutes, from Berlin Südkreuz in 1 hour and 5 minutes. By car, it takes just under 2 hours from Berlin Airport to Leipziger Messe.
